Sudden Facial Droop
The classic symptom: an inability to smile symmetrically on one side. We use targeted electrical stimulation to keep the muscle active while the nerve heals.

At DakshinRehab in Moosapet, we treat acute and chronic Bell's Palsy by actively stimulating the facial nerve. We utilize targeted Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) and specialized facial retraining exercises to prevent permanent muscle wasting. Serving Kukatpally, KPHB, and Miyapur.
Personalised, technology-driven rehabilitation in Moosapet, Hyderabad.
Bell's Palsy occurs when the 7th cranial nerve, which controls your facial muscles, becomes severely swollen and compressed inside its narrow bony canal. This shuts off the electrical signals to one side of your face. At DakshinRehab Moosapet, we use advanced technology to reduce nerve inflammation and explicitly retrain the facial muscles before they begin to atrophy permanently.

Inability to fully close the eye on the affected side, risking severe corneal dryness. We train specific blinking mechanisms.

An abnormal rewiring where trying to smile causes the eye to close unintentionally. We use strict mirror biofeedback therapy to correct this.

Loss of taste on the front two-thirds of the tongue, often accompanied by heightened sensitivity to loud noises in one ear.

We utilize High-Intensity Laser therapy behind the ear where the nerve exits the skull to aggressively reduce the swelling causing the paralysis.
Explore Our Technology
We implement guided mirror therapy and specific micro-expressions to teach the brain how to fire the correct facial muscles without causing synkinesis.

Deep light energy aimed specifically precisely at the stylomastoid foramen (behind the ear) to rapidly decrease nerve inflammation.
Tiny electrical pulses applied to the paralyzed face to forcefully contract the muscle fibers, preventing dead-weight sagging.

Utilizing mirrors to trick the brain's cortex into seeing symmetrical movement, powerfully encouraging the damaged nerve pathways to fire.
Strategic taping applied to the cheek and mouth to passively lift drooping tissue, preventing irreversible stretching of the skin.

The facial nerve only grows back at roughly 1 millimeter per day. If the facial muscles are ignored for months while the nerve heals, they will atrophy (shrink) and turn inflexible. Our Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) artificially fires the muscles, maintaining their bulk and flexibility so they are ready to work the moment the nerve reconnects.
Specialized intra-oral massage to release the tight muscles inside the cheek that often become spastic during the healing phase.

“You must trick the brain into keeping the facial muscles active. If you don't use it, the brain will prune those connections, making spontaneous recovery much harder.”

Bell's Palsy only affects the facial muscles. If you experience facial drooping accompanied by ANY of the following symptoms, it may be a stroke. Seek emergency hospital care immediately.
Arm or Leg Weakness — Bell's palsy never travels down to your body. Weakness on one complete side of your body is a stroke warning sign.
Slurred Speech or Confusion — Inability to find words, slurring, or sudden mental confusion is not caused by the facial nerve alone.
Sparing of the Forehead — In a stroke, the patient can often still wrinkle their forehead on the paralyzed side. In severe Bell's Palsy, the entire half of the face (including the forehead) is paralyzed.
Sudden, Severe Headache — The "worst headache of your life" appearing instantly could indicate a hemorrhagic stroke.
Loss of Balance or Coordination — Sudden dizziness, stumbling, or inability to walk straight.
Double Vision — Any sudden, unexplained changes in your vision or inability to move your eyes together.
Six patients, six specific outcomes — from a stroke survivor walking with a cane to a cricketer back at full pace. Real recoveries from DakshinRehab's evidence-based rehabilitation programme in Moosapet, Hyderabad.

Chronic Back Pain Relief • 48 years • Kukatpally
Three years of lower back pain — I could not sit through a full meeting or stand at a counter for more than 10 minutes. After 6 weeks of DTS spinal decompression and progressive core retraining at DakshinRehab Moosapet, I sit through a 90-minute drive to the office and play floor games with my grandchildren without needing to lie down afterwards.

Knee Pain & Osteoarthritis • 55 years • Moosapet
Knee osteoarthritis stopped me at every landing climbing the stairs to my flat — and my orthopaedic surgeon had recommended a knee replacement. I wanted to try physiotherapy first. The 3D gait analysis at DakshinRehab found the loading pattern wearing my joint down, and a 10-week strengthening programme has me climbing those stairs in one go and walking 30 minutes daily, painkiller-free.

Frozen Shoulder Recovery • 42 years • KPHB
For six months I could not lift my arm to shave, fasten a seatbelt one-handed, or sleep on my right side. Manual therapy combined with shockwave and Redcord Neurac at DakshinRehab restored my overhead reach in 8 weeks. I am back to driving with both hands on the wheel and sleeping on the affected side again — no surgery needed.

Stroke Rehabilitation • 62 years • Miyapur
After my stroke I had no movement on my left side and could not sit up unaided. The neuro team at DakshinRehab worked with me five days a week using EMG biofeedback and the robotic gait trainer. Three months in, I walk around the house with a cane, dress myself, and eat unaided. My family did not expect this much recovery.

Post-ACL Surgery Rehabilitation • 38 years • Gachibowli
I tore my ACL playing cricket and needed reconstruction. The sports rehab team at DakshinRehab ran me through strength testing, hop tests, and a structured return-to-play protocol over 5 months. I am bowling at full pace and batting 30 overs in club games — and I passed every single-leg hop test before they cleared me to play.

Cervical Spondylosis & Neck Pain • 50 years • Kukatpally
I had a headache by 11am every working day, and I could not turn my head far enough to check the blind spot while driving. Cervical traction, manual therapy and posture retraining at DakshinRehab gave me six-hour computer days without a flare, and full neck rotation when driving. I have not needed a painkiller in 4 months.

Sciatica & L5-S1 Disc Bulge • 42 years • Miyapur
Sharp pain shooting from my lower back into my right calf made driving impossible — I could not sit through my 40-minute commute without stopping every 10 minutes to stretch. The MRI showed an L5-S1 disc bulge. After 8 weeks of DTS spinal decompression and nerve-glide rehab at DakshinRehab Moosapet, the leg pain dropped to zero. I drive to Madhapur and back daily now without a single flare-up.

Facial paralysis resulting from damage inside the brain rather than to the peripheral nerve, requiring extensive full-body neuro-rehab.
